Procedure for planting a Fig tree

When you want to plant a Fig tree, you should dig a pit large enough and fill it with fine and soft soil. Though fig can grows in any type of soil but initially, it is better to use soft soil. In early stages, the roots of the trees are soft which can affect the growth if the soil is too hard. While picking the tree from the nursery, care should be taken and possibly some soil should be left with the roots. The main benefit of this soil is the familiarity because at the new place and soil tree needs some time for adjustment of roots and to acclimatize with new soil and environment. In the pit, soil must be made soft and after placing the plant, water should be given. First water will provide the chance for soil adjustment and roots will make their way in new soil.

* At early stages when tree is small and its braches and base is weak, animals like goats and sheep can harm the tree. So, a reasonable fencing is necessary which could protect the tree from animals. But, make sure that the fencing would not be resisting fresh air and sunlight.

* Sunlight is a vital for the growth of plants and trees. Therefore Fig tree care necessitates us to plant the tree at a suitable place where sunlight is fully accessible.
